Karen Forman grew up in the San Fernando Valley, fostering a love for film and TV at a very young age. She attended San Diego State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Law. After graduation, Karen realized she wanted to use her newly minted arguing skills not for law but for her enduring love of the entertainment industry. Like any good Hollywood story, she started small, becoming an assistant at Creative Artist Agency. After 3½ years of honing her skills, Karen went on to become a full-fledged agent at the Metropolitan Agency. During her twelve-year stint, she ran the Talent Department overseeing 10 agents and 150 actors and in 1998 was promoted to Vice President. Her responsibilities increased to running the company and she was involved in hiring new agents, packaging actors for development of television projects, and handling publicity. During her time working as an agent, she has represented hundreds of actors including: Kirsti Alley, Tom Selleck, Nick Cannon, Rachel Leigh Cook, Kim Wayans, Carrie Ann Moss, James Marsden, Sean Hayes, Brian Austin Green, Matt Le Blanc, Rena Sofer, Mariska Hargitay, Hillary Swank, Walton Goggins, Mark Paul Gosselaar, Eric Close, Jane Seymour, Reno Wilson, Billy Gardell, Clark Johnson and Cloris Leachman. Karen left the agent side of the business in 2010 to start her own company: Karen Forman Management. She is currently representing about 20 actors and several writers.
