Molly Cain is a Venture Partner for Sumo Ventures, where she is responsible for scouting startups from all over the world for potential investment from the $10M Dallas-based fund. She also mentors with select startups and consults with corporate partners on their innovation efforts and speaks internationally on topics ranging from insider tips on startup fundraising, leadership and building your personal brand.
Most recently, Cain served as Executive Director of Tech Wildcatters, one of Inc. Magazines top eight recognized accelerators in 2015. There, she brought in more than 50 startups into the program, raised over $750,000 and designed and managed the launch their disruptive new business model, The Gauntlet. She also served as Executive Director of EMERGE, the wearable technology accelerator for first responders, a first-time partnership between Tech Wildcatters and the Department of Homeland Security.
Molly is the founder of GlassHeel, a women's career and entrepreneurship network, and is a contributor on Forbes, where her column has received over eight million views. She writes often on topics of leadership, women in technology and startup strategy.
Molly's background is primarily in strategy, project management and internal communications for Fortune 500 organizations. She specializes in the disruption of the “that's how we've always done it” mentality by breaking existing procedures and developing content and change management tools for large and diverse audiences. She also specializes in changing behavior, driving awareness and building buy-in on topics based on executive and strategic needs.
