Amy Balliett is the CEO and co-founder of Killer Infographics, a Seattle-based industry leader in visual communications. She owned her first company, a candy store and ice cream parlor, at the age of 17 before heading off for college where she earned her BFA in Film and Diversity Marketing. She subsequently built a successful career in SEO and marketing, and has headed up SEO at several companies. In 2009, she partnered to build lead-gen-based websites, but in the fall of 2010, the business pivoted to an entirely new model: infographic and visual content design. In the years since, Killer Infographics has grown to become the industry leader in visual communications, driving successful campaigns for nonprofits and Fortune500 clients including Microsoft, Boeing, Adobe, Nikon, Starbucks, the National Endowment for the Arts, the United Nations, and more. Balliett has been on the speaker circuit evangelizing the use of visual communication to grow brands and connect with audiences of all types since 2012. She teaches courses on infographic design, motion graphics, and visual campaign development at Seattle's School of Visual Concepts, has been a guest lecturer at the University of Washington, is a Lynda instructor, leads corporate visual content training for large brands like Prudential and Starbucks, and has had the privilege to speak at dozens of conferences around the globe including SXSW, AdobeMAX, Seattle Interactive (SIC), SMXAdvanced, PRSA, IEEE, and much more.
