Lorri Allen runs Good News!, a company that works with people who want to craft better presentations and organizations that need to communicate more effectively. She is the co-author of “Be a Newsmaker: Master the Media with Clarity, Command & Credibility” and “Speak to Success: Present with Power, Panache & Purpose.” Lorri began speaking to large audiences in the 8th grade and has coached doctors, engineers, authors, CEOs and politicians to polish their messages. Lorri holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2013, she earned a master's degree in Communication at ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Also, she's a member of the National Speakers Association, and at the North Texas chapter, Lorri has twice been named Member of the Year. Lorri coaches newsmakers who want to improve their ability to answer questions or who need confidence in front of reporters. In addition, Lorri provides “insurance” against looking silly or stupid on television. Her clients have gone on to appear on PBS, the Home Shopping Network, HBO, and Good Morning America as well as local news programs. Lorri knows what it is like to be on both sides of the camera. For four years, she was the popular host of “Mornings,” simulcast on Sirius and FamilyNet Television. She's also worked as a corporate spokesperson and recently, as the news director for a CBS affiliate.
