Speak Easy: Communicating for Change

Emily Schmidt

Harvard Professor Howard Gardner wrote: “Leaders provide leadership in two principled ways: through the stories they tell and through the kinds of lives they lead.”

In this Geniecast, communications consultant and Emmy-award winning journalist Emily Schmidt will share models she utilizes to tell stories from around the world to help participants identify and use their own personal leadership stories. Participants will learn how to leverage those stories to lead through conflict, reach group alignment, and to influence others. Optional breakout sessions can allow for small group work to practice simplifying complex data sets into powerful stories. Emily’s strategies for maximizing public speaking impact will help participants Speak Easy.
