Emilie Aries is the founder and CEO of Bossed Up, an innovative personal and professional training organization that helps women craft sustainable careers. Emilie is a political organizer turned award-winning women's development coach. She has helped hundreds of women navigate career transition and prevent burnout. Her TED talk, "The Power of No," explores how to set healthy boundaries and invest in one's sustainable long-term achievement. Aries is a regular contributor on gender roles in the workplace at RoleReboot.org, The Huffington Post, and Levo League and a sought-after speaker at companies, organizations, and universities across the country. Earlier this year, she received the Young Women of Achievement Entrepreneurship award from WIN, the Women's Information Network, the 2015 YWCA Rising Star Award, and was named one of the LEVO 100 Change Makers, amongst such luminaries as Chelsea Clinton and Janet Mock. Previously, Emilie served in politics on statewide and national campaigns as a digital strategist and grassroots organizer, where she trained and managed hundreds of volunteers, helped campaigns leverage online communication technology, and smashed stereotypes about women in tech. She earned her B.A. in political science from Brown University and completed a Fellowship on Organizing at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Emilie is based in Washington, DC.
