Don Goble is full-time Multimedia instructor, international speaker, published author and video producer from St. Louis, Missouri. The National Journalism Education Association named Don as their Broadcast Adviser of the Year 2015. Outside of school, Don travels the country as a national speaker and consultant at education conferences, schools, and businesses all over world. Don is a published author and shares his articles and blog posts for multiple national publications. Don is a dedicated Apple user and was recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2011. He is also a published author through Apple Education with two courses hosted by iTunes U and three books through iBooks. Don was recognized as a Lead PBS Digital Innovator in 2014. In February of 2014, Don was named as one of the first Distinguished Broadcast Advisers of the year from the Journalism Education Association. Don and his students also created the first video show on the BAM Radio Network called Student Voice in 2014. Don has been a keynote speaker, Master Media Educator, Spotlight Speaker, lead workshop presenter, national media literacy panelist, S'Park Scholar Media Mentor and Media Literacy Educator of the Year.

In this session, participants will review research for youth media viewing habits, gain a deeper understanding on the importance of visual literacy, and learn creative and simple ways to engage their students in digital media creation to show content comprehension of the curriculum.
